I just joined up today. I'm a member of LinkedIn, Fast Pitch Networking, etc. Let's see what we can do to help one another. I think it's just an investment in time as far as coming to the site and seeing what's new and posting what we're doing business-wise, and our unique challenges. Good luck to all.
Hi Scott,
Welcome, good to meet you! There's several other LI members besides you and I, so I guess that's why I was a bit surprised. LI is pretty lively, but then again, always somone on, always a new posting. I'm sure you're right. A bit more patience is needed here.
As for unique challenges, mine seems to be knowing no one friend or professionals, who do professional networking on the web. They seem to feel they don't have the time to get into it. It's a shame because I think several of my friends would benefit much more from it than in I will in my profession.
To paraphrase "it takes a community to raise a network" The idea is there are all these great networking platforms out there, but no matter which one you belong too Link_Florida can help you connect with those in your area.
What does it take to make this grow. It takes individual members to invite their friends neighbors and colleagues. It takes someone in each metro to step up and be willing to coordinate live events etc.
This community will only be as good at it's active members. Please invite your contacts to join you here. Link_Texas @ 700 members is a good example of how it works well at the state level, Link_Atlanta is a good example of a very successful metro group @ 1800 members. BTW Link_Texas launched at the same time as Link_Florida. Link_Atlanta Launched Mid November 2007
If you are interested in leading a metro group. contact me directly.
Hi all,
Inviting I can do, and am. Leading a metro group? I doubt it! I have alot of faith in what this could accomplish, but I honestly don't think I have the internet skills to manage it right now. A little more patience maybe, and like Scott said, a little more time and participation.
Chuck is right...if we're going to make this come alive we have to want to make it happen and set aside the time to do it. My database of local contacts isn't as extensive as others but I just took 5 minutes and invited about 30 individuals that I thought might add to this venture. I urge everyone to do the same.

We should also get some discussions going on the forum. I started an Introduction discussion - have everyone post their intros and discuss who they look forward to networking with as well as what their future business goals are. This way if someone else in the network can help them reach that goal, we would have shown how important these networking groups are to a business.
I think I can plant a seed In Belize Central America and link it to Florida. Florida is the closest state of USA of my country. I sense that if Florida as whole links here and impulse itself to the world it will be the international economical hub for USA. I have some proposal in the Mundo Maya for example and finance to carry it out and of course would be delighted to finance projects in Florida and USA since this USA Global investor is not looking to be a developer. At this link you shall find my haven AGENT address for form to fill and sign:- http://purebelizeans.ning.com/forum/topics/summary-application
So, if your firm in Florida or USA can develop, run, and manage the project while the investor just sit back and get their ROI, let's propel upwards Link_Florida.
